"My background is in agriculture, brought up on our family farm in Aberdeenshire and Educated at the North of Scotland College of Agriculture. My career experience is in Sales, Marketing and General Management with Farm Machinery Manufacturing and Agricultural Dealer/Distribution organisations. where I have over 40 years’ experience in sales and marketing management, responsible for strategy, and operating at a board level.


Specialising in agriculture, I have recruited, trained and developed sales teams, regional and national, to deliver high-performance results. I have in-depth knowledge of the agribusiness sector and have developed and managed distributor networks to create successful business-to-business partnerships.


I am customer-focused with a “Totally Quality” approach, and having delivered the “Investors in People” program I am a firm believer that investment in people and skills training adds value to every organisation and enhances the customer experience.

5 Years’ experience delivering training programs and training courses for individuals and teams.


2 years’ experience as Interim Operations Manager for an Agricultural Machinery distributor focusing on selling, servicing and repairing a comprehensive range of premium-branded farm machinery. Responsible for managing day-to-day operations through a period of change and establishing a new management team for the organisation


16 years’ experience as sales and marketing director with a machinery manufacturer. Responsible for all sales and marketing strategies and functions. Establishing, managing and motivating the distributor network to deliver sales and customer service in line with company objectives and brand values. Created strong strategic, high-performing business partnerships to deliver sales results. Operating in the UK markets and overseas markets.


5 years’ experience as UK sales manager selling robotic milking systems. Responsible for UK sales strategy and creating a sales and distribution network to sell and support robotic milking systems in the UK market. Introducing and establishing this new technology using ambassador farms. Created strong partnerships with business influencers. Instrumental in delivering AMS sales training academy courses.


12 years’ experience as sales and marketing director with an agri supply business focusing on dairy farm fixed equipment sales, service and installation, and supplying animal health and dairy hygiene inputs to dairy and livestock farms. Responsible for sales and marketing strategy and functions. Recruited, developed and managed a field sales team and an over-the-counter sales team. Implemented an investors’ in people programme to equip all team members with the skills to deliver excellent customer service. Implemented Sales training and coaching programs for customer facing operators.


2 years’ experience as area sales manager with a multi-national manufacturer of dairy hygiene equipment, dairy hygiene products and animal health products. Selling B2B and supporting distributors with on farm sales.
